Internationally Exhibiting Stained Glass Artist

Combining exceptional technical delivery with a contemporary visual style that combines my love of colour and movement

Laura Kriefman is a contemporary leaded stained glass artist in Dawlish, Devon, making bespoke front doors, windows and glass portraits for homes and art collections worldwide. In the last year her work has been featured in the UK Glass Biennale and the International Biennale of Glass, Bulgaria and other national exhibitions. She has work in the permanent collection in Bulgaria and was awarded the Amanda Moriarty Award 2024 and a Heritage Craft Bursary 2026.

Combining ancient leadlight techniques with vibrant, modern movement, the studio specialises in both structural architectural commissions and fine-art glasswork. Her portfolio ranges from bespoke stained glass windows and custom-made front doors to distinctive solid glass sculptures and custom stained glass portrait commissions that capture the human figure. Serving clients across the UK, every one-of-a-kind installation balances technical structural engineering with vivacious, contemporary artistic delivery.

Customer reviews

"I commissioned Laura Kriefman to make a framed glass artwork for my 40th birthday and couldn't be more delighted! Using a photo of me and my baby daughter as inspiration, Laura crafted a bespoke piece which now hangs in our house entrance. The glass is beautiful to look at and to touch - stunning colour choices, and the textures perfectly capture the Suffolk coast. I know I'll have this piece hanging proudly for many years to come - it is very special. Laura liaised with me every step of the way, and to witness the artwork gradually take shape was incredible to experience. Thank you, Laura!"
Natalie, Suffolk, 2025

"I've attended 2 sets of classes with Laura and they have been really great. She is really encouraging and helpful and I managed to make 2 door panels which I'm really pleased with. Would highly recommend Laura's classes. She's a really positive teacher."

"Laura created a bespoke piece for the light well at the top of our stairs. Gorgeous intersecting colours and shapes - the joy she takes in making really comes through in her work."
